A month ago, I shared that Amazon Web Services (AWS) was recognized as a leader in 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Strateg Cloud Platform Services (SCP), while Gartner named AWS leader in the fifteenth consecutive.
In 2024, AWS was appointed a leader in Gartner Magic Quadrant for AI code assistants, cloud-per-care platforms, cloud database management systems, container management, data integration tools, desktop computers (DAAS) and science and machine learning platforms. In 2025, we were also recognized as a leader in Gartner Magic Quadrant for a contact center as a service (approx), desktop as a platform of Service and Data Science and Machine Learning (DSML). We strongly believe that this means that AWS provides customers the widest and deepest range of services.
Today I am glad that I can share the recent Magic Quadrant messages that have appointed AWS as a leader on multiple cloud technology markets: Cloud-Native applications (AKA cloud applications) and container management.
2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for platforms for the cloud-family application
AWS was appointed a leader in Gartner Magic Quadrant for cloud-roman platforms for 2 consecutive years. AWS was placed highest on “ability to perform”. Gartner defines platforms for cloud-native application as those that provide managed application environment for applications for applications and integrated life cycle management or application components in the cloud environment.

2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Container Management
In 2025, Gartner Magic Quadrant for container management was appointed as a leader for three years and was placed the farthest for “completeness of vision”. Gartner defines containers as offers that promote the deployment and operation of container loads. This process includes orchestrations and supervision of the entire container life cycle, covering the deployment, scaling and operations to ensure their effective and consistent performance in different environments.

The AWS container services offer a fully managed orchestration of AWS Native Solutions and Open-Source Technologies, which focus on providing a wide range of deployment options, from Kubernetes to our native orchestrator.
You can use the Amazon Elastic Container Service (AMAZON ECS) and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS). Both can be used with AWS Fargate to deploy containers without a server. In addition, EKS automatic mode simplifies Kubernetes management automatically by providing infrastructure, selecting optimal computing instances, and dynamically sources for container applications.
You can connect on-premise and edge infrastructure back to AWS Container Services with ECS hybrid nodes and ECS anywhere, or use the EC anywhere for fully disconnected Kubernetes experienced AWS. Thanks to flexible calculation and deployment options, you can limit the operational direction and focus on innovation and increase business value faster.
